The Center for Engagement and Advocacy in the Americas (CEDA) offers seasonal paid, virtual internship opportunity for candidates passionate about building positive relations between the U.S. and Latin America. Former interns have gone on to pursue careers in various fields such as politics, journalism, law, and academia. Internship Areas:
- Policy and Advocacy
- Communications and Social Media
- Nonprofit Development
Intern Duties:
- Draft and edit the U.S.-Cuba News Brief and other communication materials
- Monitor and report on relevant legislation and policy developments
- Attend and report on events, talks, and congressional hearings
- Manage and update CEDA’s website, social media, and databases
- Assist with creating social media graphics and preparing mail/email campaigns
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Current undergraduate, recent graduate, or Master’s student
- Interest in Latin America, particularly Cuba, Mexico, Central America, and Venezuela
- Proficiency in Spanish and Google Suite programs
- Strong organizational, communication, and social media skills
- Ability to work 15-20 hours a week (virtual internship)
- Internships last 2-4 months, with the possibility of academic credit
