Course Overview
Introduction to Sustainable Finance for Climate and Energy is a collaborative effort by UNDP’s Sustainable Finance, Climate, and Energy Teams It is the first free online course developed to introduce critical concepts in climate and energy finance to a global audience. This course, offered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aims to equip learners with the essential knowledge and tools for financing climate and energy targets.
Course Content
The course covers a variety of key topics, including:
- Sovereign debt instruments such as green bonds, blue bonds, and debt-for-nature swaps
- Carbon markets and innovative private finance solutions
- How to integrate these concepts within Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs)
- Foundations for measuring impact on climate and energy targets (IMM)
- Techniques for de-risking sustainable investments in climate and energy
Pre-Requisite Course
