The South Asian & Tamil Women’s Collective is thrilled to announce the launch of Flourish – a transformative career development program designed to empower young South Asian and Tamil women in York Region. If you’re between the ages of 16 and 30 and are eager to advance your career while building meaningful connections within your community, this program is for you!
Applications are now open for the program, which kicks off in January 2025. Don’t wait too long – applications close on Friday, December 6, 2024.
What is Flourish?
Flourish is more than just a career development program – it’s a community-driven initiative designed to create a safe, culturally relevant space for young South Asian and Tamil women, as well as gender-diverse individuals, to thrive in their careers. Whether you’re seeking your first job, a mentor to guide you, or clarity on the right career path, Flourish is here to help.
What Flourish Offers
Participants will benefit from a range of enriching opportunities, including:
- Culturally relevant career workshops tailored to your needs.
- One-on-one career coaching for personalized guidance.
- Building supportive relationships with South Asian mentors and community leaders.
- Access to a curated library of career resources, tools, and events.
- Opportunities to network with employers and community partners who are invested in your success.

- Location: York Region (GTA pilot program)
- Who Can Apply: South Asian and Tamil women and gender-diverse individuals aged 16–30 who live, work, or volunteer in York Region.
